wasted time and disappointments
Well, we (Amy and I) drove around on Saturday scouting out houses. And then on Sunday (today) we actually went around w/the realtor and got to see the inside. We looked at 8 houses today which brings our total to 13. Today we saw houses we liked, houses that had black mold, houses for old people, houses w/HUGE foundation issues, and houses that were simply too good to be true.To say we're discouraged is an understatement. This last batch of houses we researched were located in an area we originally weren't interested in. But due to the fact we hadn't found anything else we opened up our range of locations. So, to not find a house in this area (Blue Springs) was a HUGE blow to us. It is very very frustrating. Because none of the houses we're finding have that "wow" factor that we got when we saw the one I posted about previously. We both felt physically and spiritually that that was the home we supposed to have. And to not get it, was very frustrating. I think we're holding strong though. But still....it's tough.
My Mom left for Seattle today. She just got back not too long ago after being up there for a month. My grandpa I guess, isn't doing to hot, again. He's surpassed the 2 weeks they gave him, which I'm thankful for.

Would you go pee in this bathroom?
I remember being apart of these in college. It generally resulted in a policeman showing up.

Dude...there's three houses for sale on my block in B.S. -- in the 100k-120k range. You should tell me what you're looking for an I'll keep my eyes peeled.
Our original house search was extremely frustrating, too. And where we're at now didn't seem all that great when we signed the papers. Pretty sweet now. There's something to be said about making the house you want. Looking back...it was the right thing -- definitely "orchestrated".
Sorry man, it sounds tough. It seems like you're going through an extremely difficult, frustrating time. I'll be thinking about you, man
When I was shopping for a place to buy I found a sweet double wide trailer home for $5,000. The downside was having to rent the land it was on. And then there were plenty of mid 80's, rust brown or puke green r.v.'s for $1-3k. They were pretty sweet rides. And then there was the big work van with no seats and windows. That may have been the best $900 I've ever spent. The catch was that Sandy wouldn't live in it. Party pooper.
I'd say the above suggestions is probably the best advice you'll ever get concerning wise financial investments...
trailers, rusty vans, and r.v.'s; the poor man's paradis

Sorry about all that's going on. It will work out though. Don't get too down on yourselves. Maybe God is teaching patience. By the way, I updated my blog about 6 hours before you wrote me to update. What's up with that?

That's pretty rude that Talia didn't invite the rest of us.
I don't think I can make this weekend. I don't have off Friday, nor a great deal of money.
Just become an RE--that's what all religion majors do when they are homeless...
